A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wesleyan University, Greg Terris began his professional career as a teacher at Concord Academy, a prestigious boarding school outside of Boston. After further study at Harvard University, he spent nine years with Advantage Testing, a leading American tutoring and test preparation company known for producing results that are “somewhere between spectacular and indescribable,” according to The Wall Street Journal. During this time, he tutored hundreds of students preparing to take the SSAT, SAT and ACT. He came to Shanghai in 2010 with the goal of establishing a test preparation and tutoring company that matched the best the West had to offer in terms of quality and professionalism.
A Shanghai native, Jessie Cai left China for four years to attend graduate school at the University of Leuven (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven) in Belgium and to work in Europe. After returning, she began working as an academic consultant, helping local students with the process of applying to American boarding schools. In 2010, she was introduced to Greg and they recognized a mutual passion for helping students and their families. Not long after, Peak Achievement was born.
Between them, Greg and Jessie have close to fifteen years of experience helping students gain admission to top American boarding schools, colleges and universities. They have helped American and Chinese students enter a variety of schools, including Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Dartmouth, Brown, Johns Hopkins, the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), Wesleyan, Carleton, Andover, Choate, Hotchkiss, Lawrenceville, Milton Academy, Concord Academy and Middlesex Academy.
